Teaching Assistant Orientation Program Evaluation

I have been serving as a teaching mentor for four years. I have had fabulous experiences working with other teaching mentors and new TAs. Led by Shawn Loner from the Graduate School, I have been given the freedom to choose and design my concurrent session. This is the part I love most about this program. I also led small group discussions and microteaching sessions (in both summer and winter) and served on the Teaching Mentor Selection Committee. I love designing materials and lessons. Although the content seems the same every year, I constantly update and incorporate new activities and strategies to adjust each session I led to be current, relevant, and exciting. I appreciate the opportunity working with TAs from different disciplines and the experience broaden my eyes and help me grow professionally.
